Billionaire, and mega-collector William Koch filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles last Thursday against another well known, and very mysterious super-collector Rudy Kurniawan.  Koch had purchased five bottles of Burgundy & Bordeaux from auction house Acker Merrall & Condit back in 2005 and 2006.  They were sold anonymously through the auction house by Mr. Kurniawan, where Mr. Koch claims it is just one of the many auction houses worldwide that Mr. Kurniawan is using to “dump” his fraudulent bottles of rare wine.

Expect this fight to be nasty and long.  We @ BurgundyStreet believe Mr. Kurniawan’s personal wealth to be in the billions as well.
